Welcome! It's here - the Launch of the SHAPE lab.

It's official - the SHAPE lab is now up and running. Our goal is to unite faculty, undergraduates, and graduate students at Auburn University who are interested in research that can understand and improve health and healthcare. We want to shape better futures through the study of SHAPE (stigma, health, and patient experiences).

Dr. Ledford, the lab's director has been studying and researching these topics for just over a decade, and Dr. Gunning, our first faculty member to join the SHAPE lab, has similarly published much research on a range of related topics to health and patient experiences. We are currently looking for interested and motivated undergraduate and graduate students to join the lab and begin immediately participating in our research projects.

Any undergraduate or graduate student currently enrolled at Auburn University can apply although students in certain majors like communication, public and one health, psychology, and healthcare administration may be particularly interested in the SHAPE lab’s work.
